Apollo Cafe opened its doors on North Main Street in 1987 with a simple conviction: that the best bread and pastries are made slowly, with intention, and shared generously.

What began as a small neighborhood bakery has grown into a cornerstone of the Decatur community — a place where regulars know the barista by name, where the smell of fresh croissants greets you before you cross the threshold, and where every loaf tells a story of patience and craft.

We source locally milled flour, European-style butter, and seasonal ingredients whenever possible. Our recipes have been passed down and refined over generations, but our commitment to showing up each day and doing the work thoroughly never changes.
